Ranbir Kapoor's father Rishi Kapoor had recently wished Deepika Padukone on her birthday, and that has reportedly irked some of Katrina Kaif's close mates. Some of Katrina's friends have reportedly said the actress has still not been accepted by the Kapoor family and Rishi Kapoor has tried to make it evident by wishing Ranbir's former girlfriend Deepika.
"We all know there was no love lost between Deepika and Ranbir's dad when they were seeing each other. He never wished her when she was his son's girl. Why is he wishing now? He has never wished Katrina on her birthday. And recently when reports that she called him 'papa' came out, Rishi issued a stout denial," The Asian Age quoted a Katrina well-wisher as saying.
There were reports that Katrina had called Ranbir's father "papa" in a party. However, Rishi Kapoor denied the rumour and was quoted by the Quint as saying: "Why am I always being dragged into his (Ranbir) private life? Okay, but I am not the sort to duck questions. As far as I am concerned, Katrina has been very well behaved. I worked with her in 'Namastey London'. She is pretty and hardworking. A newspaper reported that she has started calling me 'papa'. Rubbish, she would not dare take such liberties with me".
However, the Kapoor family recently had a family lunch on Christmas, which Katrina also attended. The actress was seen clicking photos with Ranbir's sisters Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Ranbir and Katrina have been in a live-in relationship for quite some time now, and there was buzz that the couple would tie the knot in 2016.
