Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif slammed the reports that suggested that her mother had come to Mumbai to meet Neetu Kapoor. The earlier reports suggested that Katrina's mom Suzanne Turquotte wanted to talk to Neetu regarding her daughter and Ranbir Kapoor's split.
Katrina appeared at the L'Oreal Women of Worth Awards recently and while interacting with the media, she didn't shy away from answering personal questions. "Yes, my mother is in Mumbai. And no, she is not here to meet Neetu Kapoor," Mumbai Mirror quoted the actress as saying.
She said that her mother was in Mumbai because she had an operation and Katrina was nursing her. "Katrina's mother flew in from Pondicherry to undergo an operation. She had been unwell for a while and Kat wanted to be by her side when the surgery took place. They are presently living in the sea-facing apartment Kat once shared with her former beau. Her mom will head back to Pondicherry in a few months," a close friend of the actress told the leading daily.
Katrina attended the Women of Worth Awards along with Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The "Fitoor" actress looked gorgeous in a sparkly Mikael D gown and finished her look with side-swept hair to show off her ear climber and a diamond two-finger ring.
She was invited to present an award in the category of education. "You are as powerful as what you know. Education and knowledge is where we get our power from... Education is the way towards gender equality, to change people's mindsets," Katrina said while presenting the trophy.
Meanwhile, the actress is working on two projects. She will be seen opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Nitya Mehra's "Baar Baar Dekho" and will share screen space with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos."
