Trade pundits, commercial analysts, industry peeps and most importantly, the audience were left in shock when Thugs of Hindostan (Hindustan) failed to deliver what it had promised. A choppy plot, loose editing and mindless sub-lots let to a massive failure of this year biggest and most anticipated film.
After Aamir Khan, who is known for his creating new box-office records and setting new milestones with his films, opened up about the film's failure. It's Katrina Kaif who has now spoken up about the entire Thugs of Hindostan (Hindustan) debacle.
The Zero actress said, "I know Aamir has spoken on the matter and it has really hurt deeply and personally. Disappointment is always good as it wakes you up a little bit again."
"In case of Thugs.. it was not for lack of trying, something just went wrong in case of Thugs of Hindostan. You need to have guts and urge to try things and be prepared it may or may not work," she added.
Earlier, Aamir Khan had held a press conference to take the entire responsibility of the film's failure. "I take full responsibility for 'Thugs' not working with the audience. I think we went wrong but I would like to take full responsibility of that. You can be sure we tried our level best. We didn't leave any stone unturned but somewhere we went wrong. There are some people, who liked the film, and we would like to thank them but they are in minority. Majority didn't like the people and we realise this. The audience, which came with so much expectation to watch my film, I want to apologise to them also that this time I couldn't entertain them. I am feeling very bad that we weren't able to entertain them," Aamir had said at an awards event.
