Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt never admitted to their relationship, calling each other "good friends" on most occasions. But there were enough signs that indicated they felt and cared for one another.
All that has now reportedly gone kaput courtesy Sidharth's tendency to overdo things, say sources. Apparently, the young star got carried away working with his leading ladies, Katrina Kaif to be specific. He bonded really well with his "Baar Baar Dekho" co-star at the film's wrap-up bash.
"What got to Alia is Sidharth's overdoing to the point of irritation. He perhaps did not realise that doing all this would upset his ladylove. He finds himself working with leading ladies and seems to have got carried away. Also, finding herself constantly under the scanner for her equation with Sid, Alia just wants to immerse herself in work," an insider told Mid-Day.
Another factor that came in the way of their relationship is Sidharth's ugly spat with Alia's ex at a common friend's birthday party. Apparently, the actor wasn't too pleased with the way the ex was interacting with his ladylove. The tiff between the two got out of control, after which Alia had to intervene.
Their personal life may be in trouble, but work-wise both are doing great so far. Alia has taken off to Singapore for a schedule of Gauri Shinde's untitled next; she has "Udta Punjab" lined up for release and is working on "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" with Varun Dhawan. Meanwhile, Sidharth is prepping for his role in Siddharth Anand's film, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez.
