The Shah Rukh Khan-led "Don" franchise may get its third film. The news gets exciting everyday with fresh casting speculations arriving on the scene.
Priyanka Chopra, who essayed the gritty and gumptious Roma, is no more a part of the project, at least that is what the Asian Age claims.
"Roma, the character Priyanka played in the two Don films with Shah Rukh Khan, will now be played by some other actress. Neither the producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, nor Priyanka are inclined to get together to further the franchise any more," the leading daily quoted an insider as saying.
The actress has let go of the film because she has now decided on working on her career in the West. She already has a TV show — "Quantico" — to her credit and has wrapped up "Baywatch" with Dwanye "Rock" Johnson and Zac Efron.
Rumour has it, either Katrina Kaif or Jacqueline Fernandes may come on board.
The "Jagga Jasoos" actress can be counted out because she had said she wasn't approached for the film. "That's incredible if that's true. This is all good news to me," Katrina told IANS a few months ago.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan made an interesting revelation about the film. He said there's been no development, but the team is keen on developing it.
"'Don 3' is something that we have had no talk about currently. There has been no development. It's just that Farhan has somewhere started feeling that he wants to write it, but he hasn't started writing yet. So usko abhi time hai," SRK informed DNA.
