Katrina Kaif will reportedly be cast opposite Chote Nawab Saif Ali Khan in director Kabir Khan's upcoming thriller.
Just when reports emerged of Bollywood's reigning queen missing out on big banner roles in Farah Khan's "Happy New Year" and Imtiaz Ali's next film with Ranbir Kapoor, the pretty lady is said to have bagged a substantial film.
If reports are to be believed, the 'Ek Tha Tiger' actress was finally confirmed on Wednesday as she agreed to take up the project.
For the role, Katrina is said to have dislodged her talented contemporary Priyanka Chopra, who had shown keen interest in the part.
Kabir zeroed in on Katrina with whom he has worked in "New York" and the blockbuster "Ek Tha Tiger".
A source revealed that the actress was recently caught up in date issues and gave her consent to the project only after Saif adjusted his dates on the director's call.
"Katrina's problem was she had her dates messed up because her film with Hrithik, Bang Bang, got delayed due to his accident. Another hitch, which came up only recently was that Saif got too tied up with Bullet Raja, Humshakal and Happy Ending. That's really when Kabir started thinking of getting Priyanka on board," the source told Mumbai Mirror.
The report also stated that the Sajid Nadiadwala production will be shot in London, USA, Kashmir and Punjab. For the film, Katrina will be seen in a very different look.
The film's name has not yet been decided yet, but this will be the second time Katrina will be paired with Saif. They were last seen together in the super-hit suspense thriller "Race'" (2008).
