Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif may have parted ways, but their friendship has remained intact. The leading lady is often invited to parties held at the Khan household, which is why her attending the special screening of "Sultan" doesn't come across as a surprise.
"Katrina who shares a warm equation with Ali Abbas Zafar and considers him to be one of her closest friends in the industry, will be attending the screening of 'Sultan' tonight. The actress will take time out from her schedule to attend the special screening in the suburbs and support Ali Abbas Zafar, as the release of his most important film is just around the corner," a source told BollywoodLife.
It was only a few months ago that Katrina had said it would be disrespectful to her existing relationship (which has also become a thing of past now) with Ranbir Kapoor if she talked about Salman. Clearly, the gap has been bridged and the exes (Salman and Katrina) are more comfortable interacting with each other publicly.
Salman and Katrina may also be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi's next, which is scheduled to be rolled by the end of this year. The filmmaker doesn't want to take any risks with his action-comedy film; bringing former flames together is a sure shot way to get the cash registers ringing.
Also, the two were supposed to be reuniting for "Tubelight," but it appears she isn't in the running for the role any longer. A source told DNA that the casting will be off-beat and something that is unexpected.
The onscreen pair has been romantically paired in three films so far — "Yuvraaj," "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?" and "Ek Tha Tiger."
