The script of Aamir Khan-starrer Thugs of Hindostan has reportedly been changed due to Katrina Kaif. It has been reported that producer Aditya Chopra has made some amendments in the film's script on the actress' request.

Katrina had earlier worked with Aamir in Dhoom 3, which was directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Thugs of Hindostan is being helmed by the same director. Although Dhoom 3 had turned out to be a blockbuster, Katrina was apparently not happy as she did not have much to do in the film apart from flaunting some dance moves.
Apparently, the initial script of Thugs of Hindostan also did not have much scope for the female lead, and that reportedly was the reason for many actresses rejecting the offer. Katrina is now on board, but with the condition to make her role meaty in the movie.
"She met Adi in director Vijay Krishna Acharya's presence and good-naturedly complained that Adi and Victor had not given her much to do the last time they signed her opposite Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3. Adi assured her the role would be mended," Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying.
The report said that after promising Katrina, Aditya along with the director made big changes in the heroine's role in the movie. Apart from Katrina, Thugs of Hindostan also features Fatima Sana Shaikh, and reports suggest that Aamir will be seen having a love triangle. This is also the first time that Aamir will share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.
Thugs of Hindostan is reported to be based on the pre-independence struggle of India, and will involve a lot of sword fighting.
