Kate Middleton recently raised concern when she was seen sporting high heels during her New York visit. The Duchess of Cambridge was seen in a sheer black stockings and black high heels as she visited Harlem Child Development Centre with New York's version of royalty, First Lady Chirlane McCray.
Middleton is currently pregnant with her second child and heels are not medically recommended during this time.
"The risk of stress fractures, bursitis and capsulitis (inflamed ligaments) are increased when a pregnant woman routinely wears heels," said Dr Isaac Tabari of the NYC Podiatry Centre of Excellence in Midtown to NY Daily News. "Pregnant women should not wear high heels every day."
Middleton has already suffered from severe morning sickness in her first trimester and she may have put the baby at risk by wearing heels, as per the further reports. However, editor-in-chief of Lucky magazine, Eva Chen begs to differ. She believes that women should wear anything and everything, which makes them happy.
The pregnancy adage is, "If it feels good and makes you happy, do it. I was over six months pregnant while at collections in Paris, London, and Milan and wore heels every day," reported the Website.
Meanwhile, Middleton and Prince William recently met Beyonce and Jay. The royals who are yet to end their three-day New York tour were seen enjoying an NBA game on 8 December. Bey and Jay walked up to the royal couple and shook hands with them.
"Jay and Bey walked across the court to see them" while "God Save the Queen" and then "Crazy In Love" blasted throughout the arena," said an eyewitness to US Weekly.
For the game, Middleton dressed her baby bump in a black jeans and monochrome coat. She wore her hair loose and accessorised her look with a matching clutch and black heels. Meanwhile, Prince William was dressed casually in a blue-and-red check shirt, black jeans and brown slip-on shoes.
