Actress Kate Hudson and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy have pulled the plug on their relationship after being engaged for four years.
While the reason of their sudden break-up is not known, it is being said that soon after the split, Hudson has kindled romance with Derek Hough.
She was spotted with Hough last weekend, and the duo is said to have spent some quality time over a meal at the Nice Guy Restaurant in L.A. They ate and drank and stayed for a long time at the eatery, reported US magazine.
Interestingly, in one of her previous interviews the actress poured praises on the dancer. "My heart is really in contemporary jazz, but lately I've been ballroom dancing with Derek Hough. It's been a real blast," she told Shape, according to US magazine. It is being rumoured that Hudson's growing closeness to "Dancing With The Stars" pro could be one of the reasons behind the split.
The actress' rep said in an official statement that Hudson and Bellamy parted ways some time back, but continue to share a cordial relationship, according to People.
Hudson and Bellamy first started dating in 2010 and got engaged in 2011. However, they never tied the knot as Hudson apparently does not believe in the institution of the marriage.
"My parents aren't married. And one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was. They didn't feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed," she said to Women's Health magazine.
Hudson and Bellamy have a son Bingham Hawn Bellamy. The actress was previously married to Chris Robinson and has a son Ryder, 10, with the singer.
