Despite many preventive measures, the film industry continues to suffer from piracy. Dhanush's Kodi and Karthi's Kaashmora are the latest victims of it as both the latest Tamil movies have been leaked online.
Kaashmora and Kodi have made it to the internet through the back door soon after the films hit the screens worldwide. The Tamil movies are now available online for illegal downloads on various websites.
This is expected to take a huge toll on the collections of Kaashmora and Kodi. However, the fans of Karthi and Dhanush are requesting on social media not to encourage piracy and support the Deepavali releases.
Kaashmora is a supernatural historical thriller film written and directed by Gokul and produced by SR Prabhu. Nayanthara and Sri Divya are the female leads in the film. Vivekh, Sharath Lohitashwa, Madhusudhan Rao and many others are also in the cast. Om Prakash is the cinematographer, while VJ Sabu Joseph has handled the editing department. Santhosh Narayanan is the music director of Kaashmora.
On the other hand, Kodi is a political thriller in which Dhanush is seen in dual roles, while Trisha will be seen in a negative character. Ilayathalapathy Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar, Saranya Ponvannan, Kaali Venkat, Singamuthu, Namo Narayana and others are in supporting roles. Anupama Parameswaran of Malayalam blockbuster Premam fame is also part of the flick, which has Venkatesh's cinematography, Prakash Mabbu's editing and Santhosh Narayanan's music.
Meanwhile, both the new releases have opened to positive reviews. It is interesting to see how the movies will perform at the box office.
