Ekta Kapoor's new show "Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki," which has Ssharad Malhotra and Kratika Sengar in the lead roles, has garnered positive response after it went on air on Monday, March 7. The show showcases the eternal love story of Rishi (played by Ssharad) and Tanushree (played by Kratika).
According to a report in Telly Chakkar, the makers have roped in television actress Renee Dhyani to play the negative role on the show. She will soon join the team of "Kasam.. Tere Pyaar Ki" and will be seen playing the role of Tanushree's (Kratika) cousin. Renee rose to fame with "Roadies 8" and had also participated in the eighth edition of controversial show "Bigg Boss."
"Renee and Dhakshina will play the young and modern daughters of Tanu's chachi, played by Roma Bali. Renee will be a modern girl who will be a complete contrast to what her cousin sister Tanu (Kratika Sengar) will be like," a source told the web-portal.
"I will be able to comment on this in a day or two," Renee said.
Interestingly, Renee's boyfriend Lalit Bisht is also part of "Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki." Lalit, who was last seen on "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" as lawyer Chaddha, is seen playing the role of Rishi's (Ssharad) best friend on the new show.
"Kasam...Tere Pyaar Ki" will see the 33-year-old actor play the role of an impudent 20-year-old Rishi belonging to a Punjabi family, residing in Mumbai. Rishi falls head over heels with Tanushree. However, tragedy struck the couple even before they could fulfill their dream of being together.
With Renee and Lalit on board, it won't come as a surprise for viewers if the makers come up with a romantic angle between the real-life lovebirds in future.
The show also has Zuber K Khan, Roma Bali, Vibha Chibber, Vijay Kashyap and other popular actors in pivotal roles. The team is reportedly shooting in Panchgani, Maharashtra.
