It looks like Bollywood is quite obsessed with weddings nowadays as fans are in for a treat to see Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon as groom and bride. A picture has surfaced on the internet which shows the "madly-in-love couple" dressed in traditional attire and giggling as they hold each other's hands after taking their "wedding vows."
The "newly-weds" looked very happy and seems like the duo is all set to begin their journey as "husband and wife."
Before you jump to any conclusion, let us tell you that the leaked picture is a look test of the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor and Heropanti actress posing as newly-weds for their upcoming film Luka Chuppi. The film is a desi rom-com which will be shot in places like Mathura, Agra and also in Kartik's hometown, Gwalior.
Kartik will be reportedly seen playing the role of a reporter of a local TV channel in Mathura and Kriti will be his love interest. The new pair will be delivering dialogues using the local dialects to look authentic, raw and rusty on screen.
Luka Chuppi is directed by Laxman Utekar as he is set to offer the audience with a dose of fun-filled entertainment on the silver screen. It will be interesting to see Kartik and Kriti sharing space for the first time with each other and win the heart of audience with their chemistry.
"I was delighted to know that the shoot will be in Gwalior. The first thing I did was, called my parents and broke the news to them. I haven't been there in a while now. I'm looking forward to the shoot," Kartik had said earlier.
On the work front, Kartik, who was last seen in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, will be paired with Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor in Karan Johar's upcoming film, produced under his own production banner, Dharma Productions. He has also signed the Hindi remake of Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party which will reportedly star Jacqueline Fernandez as his love interest.
Kriti, on the other hand, has four big-budget projects in her kitty. She is currently shooting for Housefull 4 in London while her immediate next, Arjun Patiala opposite Diljit Dosanjh, is slated to release this year. She will also be seen playing a Marathi warrior in Ashutosh Gowariker's Panipat, which will be her first historical period drama. She also shot for a cameo in Karan Johar's multi-starrer Kalank.
" I feel fortunate to receive opportunities of playing diverse roles with every film that I'm a part of. As an actor, it keeps me on my toes when I'm not restricted to only one kind of genre. I'm really looking forward to the different kind of characters I'll get to play and the amazing people I'm going to work with," Kriti had said earlier.
