Latest buzz doing the rounds in Kollywood is that actor Karthik will play the villain role in Dhanush's "Anegan".
It is well known that Dhanush is currently working with director KV Anand for their upcoming film. Earlier, the director had announced that Karthik will be doing a pivotal role in the film, and now latest reports suggest that the actor will be appearing as the antagonist in the Dhanush starrer.
Karthik will reportedly sport a stylish look in the film similar to that of Ajith's look in 2011 blockbuster flick "Mankatha". This is the first time that Karthik is teaming up with Dhanush for a film.
"Anegan", meaning "multiple single person", will have Dhanush appearing in four different looks. The nation award winning actor will sport local Chennai youth look, urban look, one look with curly hair, and he will also play a martial art expert.
The film, touted to be a romantic entertainer laced with action, will have Bollywood actress Amyra Dastur of "Issaq" fame as the female lead. The other cast members include Jagan, Atul Kulkarni and Ashish Vidyarthi.
"Anegan" screenplay is written by KV Anand and Subha. The film's music is composed by Harris Jayaraj, whereas cinematography is handled by Om Prakash and editing is done by Anthony. It is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh under AGS Entertainment banner. This is the second time that the production house has teamed up with KV Anand after Suriya's 2012 release "Maatraan."
"Anegan" is expected to release in June this year.
