The Higher Education Department has announced the 2015 results of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), on Monday, 1 June at around 2:30 pm.
The results, which was supposed to be announced on 26 May, was declared on the official websites – Karnataka Examinations Authority and Karnataka Examination Results 2015 on 1 June. The results will also be available on Jagranjosh website.
The results declaration was postponed on the request of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education in the wake of confusions and "discrepancies" in the Pre University 2nd Year results, according to news reports.
The Karnataka CET exams were conducted on 12 and 13 May in 343 centres across the state. A total of 1,57,580 students had appeared for the exams.
The exams were schedueld for 29, 30 April and 1 May, but was postponed because of strike called by the Central Trade Unions and KSRTC Staff Federation.
The Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted to enable students to take admission in full-time courses in Medical, Dental or Engineering courses in colleges across the state. The students are offered admission in professional colleges based on their ranks in CET exams.
