The confusion around the announcement of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2016 result is over. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) declared the CET result on Saturday (May 28).
The CET is undergraduate medical entrance exam examinations conducted by KCET. The result for the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will also be announced on May 28, the Hindu reported.
The announcement of CET and also COMEDK results were reportedly delayed after the Supreme Court ordered implementation of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), a common examination for medical and dental courses.
The Centre, however, passed an ordinance and also got it approved by the President. The ordinance allows state governments to conduct their own examinations for this academic year, but all other private colleges will have to take admissions based on NEET scores.
