The bitter divorce battle between Karisma Kapoor and her estranged industrialist husband Sunjay Kapoor is getting uglier with each passing day. According to a SpotboyE report, Karisma has now told the police and the court that Sunjay's live-in relationship with Priya Sachdev, ex-wife of Delhi socialite and hotelier Vikram Chatwal, is what is affecting her.
Until now, the actress had refrained from mentioning about Priya in her divorce battle, although there were speculations that Priya is the reason behind Karishma-Sunjay's divorce.
"Karisma has also told the guardians of the law that Sunjay, Priya and Priya's daughter Safira frequently go to exotic destinations for holidays and even post pictures of those vacations on Instagram. She cannot tolerate such blasphemy and audacity. It's a matter of self respect, and Karisma definitely has it," a friend of Karisma told the entertainment-portal.
Last week, Karisma had filed a harassment and cruelty case against Sunjay and her mother-in-law Rani Surinder Kapur with the Khar police. In her complaint, the actress stated that she was mentally harassed by her husband and mother-in-law.
Also, during the hearing of their divorce case, Karisma had alleged that once Sunjay asked his mother to slap her when she was unable to fit into a dress after her pregnancy. The actress also said that Sunjay's mother didn't condemn him for being rude and instead, supported her son's philandering lifestyle.
Sunjay, on his part, had also filed a petition in January, accusing Karisma of marrying him for money and said that she had failed as a wife, mother and daughter-in-law. In his statement, Sunjay accused Karisma of choosing her career over him and also cheating on him.
Karisma and Sunjay, who married in 2003, have two children -- Samaira and Kiaan -- together. The rumours of their marriage falling apart started doing the rounds in 2010, when Sunjay was reportedly spotted with Priya at several parties.
