It looks like Rhea Kapoor finally has all the four lead actresses for her chick flick. After Katrina Kaif opted out, it was reported that Swara Bhaskar has been roped in to play the part, but it is actually Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has been approached for the role.
Kareena confirmed that she has been approached for the role, but it is still not official whether she will be a part of Rhea's directorial film. Rhea wants to direct a chick-flick with a powerful team of actresses and thus, there were reports that Katrina and Sonam will play the lead.
However, a DNA report states that Katrina was never offered the role. "Katrina was never formally offered the film. There were only initial talks but it never materialised," DNA quoted a source as saying.
"Rhea wants a powerful team of actresses and she feels Kareena will suit the bill perfectly. Kareena has not signed anything post Udta Punjab and this will possibly be her next film. Talks are on and an announcement will be made formally very soon. In all probability, it will indeed be Bebo and Sonam saath-saath," the source added.
Though sources have said that Kareena and Sonam will be in Rhea's film, the "Ki and Ka" actress said that she is still thinking.
Meanwhile, the film will star four actresses. The leading actresses will be Sonam and Bebo (if she says yes), while Swara and Shikha Talsania of "Wake Up Sid" fame will be in supporting roles.
"Swara Bhaskar plays the third friend. For the character of the fourth girl in the all-girl group, the makers have finalised Tiku Talsania's daughter Shikha Talsania (best known for her role in Wake Up Sid). While Sonam and Bebo play the leads, Swara and Shikha will be the supporting leads," a source told the daily.
