Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor might soon be seen in a gritty role flaunting six-pack abs for the romantic flick "Shuddhi".
Kareena might be the first actress to take on the toned look, which has usually been the trend among Bollywood leads like Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and many others.
The actress will reportedly be under strict martial arts training to get the perfect abs for the part.
"Shuddhi"s director Karan Malhotra recently spoke to IANS but didn't reveal much about the upcoming flick. "I am not allowed to talk much about my film, but all I can assure you is Kareena and Hrithik will be seen in a never before role in 'Shuddhi'. I know it's the most cliché line ever, but I can assure you on that."
"I feel she is a stunning looking girl and she suites the character best. I am sure she will do justice to the film," Malhotra added, speaking about Kareena being the perfect choice for the part.
Malhotra directed "Shuddhi" will star Hrithik Roshan and Kareena together after a gap of ten years. The duo was last seen together in "Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon" (2003).
Hrithik and Kareena, who have worked together in several movies in the initial stages of their career, had allegedly fallen out after rumors of the actors dating each other surfaced. However, things have now been sorted out at both ends with Kareena expressing her desire to reunite with Hrithik onscreen.
"Shuddhi" produced by Karan Johar was earlier said to be an adaptation of Amish Tripathi's popular novel "Immortals of Meluha." But these reports were later denied by the filmmakers.
The romantic drama will be shot in Uttarakhand and Mumbai and the shooting is expected to begin in December.
The Dharama Production film is targeted for a Diwali 2014 release.
