It seems Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor has finally found some luck, as reports of the actress being considered for a Yash Raj Film (YRF) have surfaced.
The "Heroine" actress has been going through a slow phase with respect to her line up of films. She recently walked out of Karan Johar's "Shuddhi" and her other film - "Bombay Samurai" - with Farhan Akhtar has also been delayed.
However, latest buzz is that the gorgeous diva has been signed to play the female lead opposite Pakistani Actor Fawad Khan in YRF's next film. The news of the casting was reported by Pakistan Today, but no confirmation has been made by the studio yet.
Last year, Khan made headlines when he bagged the "Khoobsurat" remake opposite Sonam Kapoor. The actor, a well known figure in his home country, rose to fame with the popular telly soap "Humsafar."
If the YRF film materialises, it could be a good deal for Kapoor, whose last film failed to set the cash registers ringing. It could provide a big boost for the actress.
Meanwhile, it has come out that Kapoor, who was recently approached for Rohit Shetty's "Singham 2", might not have been the first choice of the director. Shetty is said to have initially offered the film to Deepika Padukone, with whom he delivered the blockbuster flick "Chennai Express."
However, Padukone supposedly charged an exorbitant sum of ₹18 crore for the film, leaving the filmmaker to look for an alternative, reported Emirates 24/7. The report appears quite dubious since Padukone and Shetty are known to share a strong rapport.
Moreover, the director recently confirmed that the role of a Maharashtrian girl in "Singham 2" was written keeping Kapoor in mind. The actress will be seen opposite Ajay Devgn in the action entertainer.
