The shooting of Shahid Kapoor's next ambitious film "Udta Punjab" kick-started in Punjab last week, and the "Haider" star was quick enough to share the news with his fans along with a picture.
"UDTA PUNJAB takes off . This ones special . Wish us luck guys . It's a tough tough film . We need your love ." tweeted Shahid.
And now his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan, who plays an important part in the film, has been spotted on the sets of the film.
Dressed in a pink Punjabi attire, Kareena was snapped on the sets along with Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh.
Abhishek Chaubey's "Udta Punjab" has been making news ever since ex-flames Shahid and Kareena were roped in the project.
Although the ex-lovers, who last starred in blockbuster "Jab We Met", are part of the project, the duo will not share screen space in the film.
"Udta Punjab" also has Alia Bhatt, who plays the lead role opposite the "Haider" star. This is Shahid and Bhatt's second film after "Shandaar", which is up for release this year.
Bhatt will be essaying the role of a hockey player and the "Highway" actress has been working hard to pull it off as a professional.
"Udta Punjab" will revolve around the increasing problem of drug abuse in Punjab. The entire star cast is expected to play important roles in dealing with the issue of drug abuse in the state.
