The grand finale of Lakme India Fashion Week winter-festive 2012 will end with beautiful and gorgeous Kareena Kapoor.
The actress is all set to walk the ramp as the showstopper for the LIFW, which is scheduled to start from August 3. The five-day event will end on August 7.
Last year, the actress walked the ramp as the showstopper for friend and famous Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra. But this time, she is likely to walk the grand finale that is jointly presented by new designer Kallol Dutta and Pankaj-Nidhi duo.
"We did have a show stopper earlier for grand finale. Though last year, for Rohit Bal's grand finale we did not have anyone. But Kareena did walk the ramp for Manish Malhotra two seasons ago. We are already working with her (for this season). She is taking out her time for that," Purnima Lamba, Head Innovations Lakme, told reporters on Wednesday.
"At this point we have not decided the prospect of it but she is very excited to walk for us. So Kareena might be the show stopper," Lamba added.
Last year, a well-known designer Rohit Bal presented an amazing and wonderful finale to the audiences. However, this time the finale will be presented by two new designers - Kallol Dutta and Pankaj-Nidhi.
When asked about the risk they are taking by giving the fresh designers the chance in the grand finale, Lamba replied: "I don't think we are taking any risk. As somebody who has invested in the future of fashion, it is my responsibility to give them a voice...The concept of bringing fresh perspective to the finale was very exciting. So we were very thrilled to get them on board and they both have very individual takes on fashion."
