Technology manufacturer Karbonn Mobiles rolled out two samrtphones on Thursday as part of the company's introduction of its Duple Series.
The two smartphones, dubbed Karbonn Smart A9+ and Smart A21, were spotted online recently though the official announcement of the launch came only on Thursday.
Shashin Devsare, the executive director of Karbonn Mobiles said that the company seeks to strengthen its market share with the launch of its Duple Series.
"Karbonn Mobiles' envisions Massifying Technology across the globe and seeks to introduce the latest in mobile technology to its consumers. Through the launch of the 'Duple Series', we seek to solidify our positioning as a major player in the technologically advanced networked devices market, and intend to make engaged mobility solutions a reality for the consumers around the world," he said in a press statement.
Both smartphone come with some similar features - Android 4.0 operating system and a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. Karbonn A9+ sports a 4-inch IPS display with 480×800 pixels while Karbonn A21 comes with 4.5-inch HD display with the same pixel resolution.
"Understanding the evolving consumer needs and to enhance their mobile experience, Karbonn Mobiles brings to them the Duple Series smartphones with dual core processor which leads to a better gaming experience, faster browsing & lesser power consumption," Shashin Devsare said.
Each smartphone also packs a 5-megapixel Auto Focus camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front both devices have 3G HSDPA of 7.2Mbps, WIFI, Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS. While Karbonn A9+ packs a battery of 1420 mAh, the other one comes with a battery of 1800 mAh battery Both smartphones come with internal memory of 4GB which is expandable up to 32 GB with micro SD support. Karbonn Smart A9+ and the Smart A21 is priced at Rs 9,990 and Rs 11,990, respectively.
