Bengaluru-based smartphone maker, Karbonn Mobiles, has released a budget handset called Titanium S5i, in India.
The new Karbonn phone is said to be a low-end variant of the company's flagship Titanium S5 model, which was launched a year ago. It sports a 5.0-inch TFT screen with 854x480p resolution and run on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.
Inside, it houses a dual-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB), 8.0-megapixel main camera (with auto-focus & flash support), VGA camera on the front and a 2000 mAh Li-ion battery.
Karbonn Titanium S5i is available at online store Home Shop 18 for ₹7,999. The device will be pitted against Samsung Galaxy Young, Sony Xperia E, Micromax Canvas Fun A76 and other phones in the same range.
Earlier this month, Karbonn Mobiles launched a mid-range phone called Titanium S4. It flaunts a 4.7-inch HD display and packs 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, Android Jelly Bean v4.2 Jelly Bean, 13.0-megapixel camera (with auto-focus and flash support) and a 2.0-megapixel camera. The device is priced ₹13,990 online.
