The Indian smartphone market which is touted as the one of fastest growing smartphone markets in the world, currently houses more than 130 national and MNC companies fighting for major market share.
Local smartphone makers such as Micromax, Karbonn, Lava and its subsidiary Xolo, Intex Technologies, Celkon are all starting to get the attention of price-sensitive consumers thanks to their range of low-cost smartphones with high-end features giving stiff challenge to MNC brands Apple, Samsung, BlackBerry and others.
Two weeks ago, Xolo launched the much hyped fastest smartphone - X1000 with a 2 GHz processor.
The very next day, Karbonn launched a low cost quad-core smartphone called Titanium S5, thereby intensifying the competition among Indian smartphone makers.

Karbonn Titanium S5 is currently priced around for ₹11,990, whereas Xolo X1000 is priced ₹19,999, almost ₹8000 costlier than its competitor.
