Indian handset manufacturer Karbonn Mobiles has quietly unveiled it's yet another budget Android smartphone, Retina A27, for the Indian market.
The smartphone is now available at the online retailer Saholic for a price of ₹ 9,090. Karbonn Retina A27 Android Smartphone sports a 4.3-inch qHD IPS display with 960×540 pixels and is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The handset runs on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
The device packs 8 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of memory, it comes with 512MB of RAM along with an internal memory of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB with microSD.
The smartphone comes with preinstalled apps such as Flipboard, News and weather apps, Facebook and Twitter and supports the connectivity features like WIFI 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, Bluetooth with A2DP, Micro-USB, GPRS and EDGE. It houses 1800 mAh battery which claims give good talk time and standby time to users.
The handset is the latest device to join Karbonn's Duple series. Karbonn Mobiles rolled out two smartphones in November as part of the company's introduction of its Duple Series, dubbed Karbonn A9+ and A21.
Both smartphones come with some similar features - Android 4.0 operating system and a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. Karbonn A9+ sports a 4-inch IPS display with 480×800 pixels while Karbonn A21 comes with 4.5-inch HD display with the same pixel resolution.
The Retina A27 will compete with the smartphones which are priced in the sub ₹ 1, 0000 brackets.
