Bangalore-based Karbonn Mobiles has released a new handset called A15+, into the burgeoning low-cost smartphone market.
The new Karbonn smartphone flaunts a 4.0-inch WVGA TFT LCD screen with 800x480p resolution and ships with the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS, out-of-the-box.
Like any other budget phone, Karbonn A15+ too comes with basic specifications such as dual-core CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage space (expandable up to 32GB), 5.0-megapixel camera (no flash support) and1500 mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, Karbonn A15+ features dual-SIM slots, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE. It is currently available at e-store Saholic for ₹5,890 and will compete against MNC branded Samsung Galaxy Young and Rex series phones. The device will also be pitted against Lava Iris 405, Micromax Bolt A67 and many other local handsets which are flooding the market almost every week.
Meanwhile, Karbonn Mobiles is reportedly planning to release two full HD handsets - Titanium S7 (it can be pre-booked via flipkart) and Titanium X, into the market soon. The devices pack pretty much similar specifications such as 1.5GHz quad-core processor and a 13.0-megapixel main camera.
