Bangalore-based Karbonn Mobiles has launched a budget Android smartphone A12+ via online stores and is soon expected to unveil a new phablet called Karbonn A18+.
Karbonn A12+ sports a 4.0-inch IPS WVGA screen with 480x800p resolution and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB (only 1.24 GB user memory) which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card support.
It houses a 5.0-megapixel main camera on the rear side with flash support and a secondary front-facing camera. Connectivity wise, it has 3G network support, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth (with A2DP support) and navigation via Google Maps.
On the other hand, Karbonn A18+ flaunts a 5.0-inch FWVGA screen with 480x800p display resolution and pretty much features the same software and hardware components as seen inside the Karbonn A12+, sans the 2000 mAh battery.
Online retailer Flipkart has started selling Karbonn A12+ for ₹4,999, whereas the sales of Karbonn A18+ (₹8,290) are yet to kick-off.
