Bangalore based Karbonn Mobiles has released an Android smartphone called A11+ into the Indian market.

Karbonn A11+ sports a 4.7-inch TFT LCD screen with 854x480p resolution and packs a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 512MB storage capacity (only 161MB usable memory).

Other mentionable features include a 3.2-megapixel camera on the rear side and a VGA camera on the front. The main camera supports LED flash and auto-focus features.

Karbonn A11+ runs on the two-generation old Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, which is a bit disappointing considering the fact rival companies like Intex Technologies, Lava, Xolo and others are releasing their budget devices with the new Android v4.2 Jelly Bean.

In the past few days, the Indian market has witnessed a slew of budget handsets. Lava released two devices - Iris 402 (₹5,199) and Iris 356 (₹4,199), whereas its own subsidiary company Xolo introduced the A500s for ₹6,999. Micromax released the low-cost A34 (₹4,399) and iBall announced the affordable 4-core Andi 5h Quadro smartphone for ₹11,999.

Karbonn A11+ is available for purchase at the online store Saholic for ₹5,849.
