Small screen actors' love lives often come under the scanner. From marriage and affairs to splits, almost every aspect of their relationships is analysed and deconstructed for their fans. Three such popular, shocking breakups were that of Karan Singh Grover-Jennifer Winget, Divyanka Tripathi-Ssharad Malhotra and Karan Patel-Kamya Punjabi.
The "Alone" actor, known for his philandering ways, tied the knot with Jennifer in 2012. Two years into the marriage, the couple decided to split. Although both remained tight-lipped about an the rift that was tearing their bond apart, Karan confirmed on Twitter on December, 2014 that they have mutually called it off.
"For all those who are concerned, you might have heard that Jennifer and I have separated and will soon be getting... ...divorced. I just wanted to confirm that it's true. The decision has been mutually agreed upon and the reasons are too ...personal to share," he posted.
While the suave actor might has gone silent, a close friend of the couple told The Times of India that it was his roving eyes that forced Jennifer to part ways. "However, Karan told her clearly that he doesn't believe in the institution of marriage and wants to be a free bird. He is commitment-phobic. In fact, he told his close buddies who tried to intervene that he will not marry again," the insider said.
"Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actress Divyanka's split with Ssharad too was also mutual. The couple, while confirming the news earlier this month, had urged the media to be considerate about the reasons. Soon after the news broke out, there were reports of the "Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap" actor having cheated on his ladylove, with Rachna Parulkar. However, the latter rubbished the rumours, saying the couple might have had compatibility issues and that she wouldn't want to be linked to this.
The latest to join the bandwagon was Karan aka Raman of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein", who broke up with Kamya Punjabi and got engaged to Ankita Bhargava on Saturday, 14 March. The bride-to-be, not very surprisingly, bluntly denied saying Kamya and Karan had broken up before she met the actor.
"Trust me, I have never heard such a ridiculous story. There is no truth to it. Kamya and Karan broke-up in December and we met around mid January. These are just baseless stories," TOI quoted her as saying. The couple is scheduled to get married on 3 May this year.
