Television heartthrob Karan Patel, who is known for throwing tantrums on the sets of his popular show "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein," is in news again for the wrong reasons.
According to reports, the shooting of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" was stalled recently when Karan, who was not in a good mood, threw a fit on the sets apparently because he didn't like the shirt he was given for a particular shot.
"It was a needless demand. Every actor cannot like every outfit that is given to him/her. Professionalism demands that actors learn to dress up the way that the producers and channels (Balaji Telefilms and Star Plus in this case) want them to for a particular scene. Else what's the difference between an actor and a dress designer?," a source told SpotboyE.
The source further added that Karan shot for the episode only the next day when he was provided the shirt of his choice.
This is one of the several instances when Karan had apparently created trouble for his co-stars as well as the crew members.
A few months ago, Jeetendra, whose daughter Ekta Kapoor produces "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein," paid a surprise visit on the sets, but was shocked to see that the filming had come to a halt because the lead actor hadn't arrived on the sets on an important day of the shoot. Later, Jeetendra reprimanded Karan for his late arrival, asking him to be punctual and value others' time.
In another instance, Karan was rumoured to have landed in a heated argument with Neeraj Baliyan, the director of the show. The actor is said to have suggested an idea to the director for a particular shot but the latter responded by asking him not to interfere in his work. The fight intensified and the two were on the verge of hitting each other when the crew members intervened and stopped them.
