Karan Patel aka Raman of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" has ended his relationship with actress Kamya Punjabi to marry television actress Ankita Bhargava.
The "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor confirmed the news to a daily and said that he will start a new chapter of his life with Ankita.
Interestingly, Ankita is the daughter of Abhhay Bhargava, who plays the role of Karan's father-in-law in the popular TV series.
"Yes, Ankita and I are getting married and this is a new chapter in my life. I am looking forward to it without a doubt, can't wait, she is a beautiful girl, a friend more than that my 'would be' wife," Karan told Deccan Chronicle.
Kamya and Karan never confirmed or denied their relationship, but sources close to the couple said that last year during an event the actor had introduced the former "Bigg Boss" contestant as his girlfriend.
But looks like Kamya and Karan were not destined to be together. The reason behind their breakup is not known, but several reports suggest that Karan's parents weren't happy with Kamya's broken marriage.
Earlier this month, Divyanka Tripathi aka Ishita of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" ended her seven-year-old relationship with boyfriend Ssharad Malhotra.
The two issued a statement and confirmed that they have mutually parted ways.
"The decision of calling off the relationship is mutual. We had a beautiful journey and the most lovely memories are helping us part ways cordially. Yet, it's a painful process and speculations only increase the pain. We request the media to be considerate. This is the final word on this subject and we won't be talking about what went wrong in our relationship. We believe it wasn't destined to last," they said in a statement to The Times of India.
