Last month, Karan Patel aka Raman of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" shocked fans by confirming that he would tie the knot with Ankita Bhargava soon. And recently, the bride-to-be revealed that the couple will have a filmy-style wedding on 3 May.
"Yes, Ankita and I are getting married and this is a new chapter in my life. I am looking forward to it without a doubt, can't wait, she is a beautiful girl, a friend more than that my "would be" wife," Patel said, according to Deccan Chronicle.
However, the couple got engaged on 14 March at a hush-hush roka ceremony in Mumbai. The couple will get married on 3 May and the order of events will be as follows: a pre-wedding cocktail with close friends, engagement followed by sangeet, and then the pheras.
"Yes, we will have a filmy wedding. I belong to Delhi and lived in a joint family till I came to Mumbai. I have always enjoyed this whole joint family setup and am happy that Karan has a big family," Bhargava said, The Times of India reports.
In other news, with Karan breaking up with ex-girlfriend Kamya Punjabi to get married to Ankita had triggered various controversies. While some said the bride-to-be is the reason why the ex-couple split, she cleared the air clarifying Kamya and Karan had broken up before she met the TV actor.
"It's not like I entered in Karan's life and he decided to break-up with Kamya. They parted ways in December last year, after which Karan was looking to settle down and so was I. Our families met in January. Karan and I interacted quite a few times and we just connected instantly and thought we should marry each other," she told Bollywood Life.
The cast of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" is thrilled as well, and reportedly, they have also decided on their performances at the couple's sangeet ceremony.
