Karan Johar, in one of his more recent Twitter interactions with fans, revealed information only dreams are made of. The filmmaker-producer said he would soon direct Deepika Padukone and has been "dying" to work with Shah Rukh Khan, which he said would happen "very soon."
He also said his next may be a dark action thriller, "Student Of The Year 2" would be announced in a few months, there's no "Dostana 2" happening and there are no projects with Shah Rukh and Kajol yet. Also, he confirmed "Koffee With Karan" would return to the screens this year with its fifth season.
Talking about his industry friends, Karan said Kareena Kapoor Khan was a sister he never had, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had an exotic charm about her, Ranbir Kapoor was enigmatic and Salman Khan large-hearted. He wrote his friendship with SRK was life-long, AbRam was a god's child and beyond cute.
Meanwhile, Deepika has been sent as many as 20 scripts to choose from. Neck-deep in work, the stunner has been shooting for Vin Diesel's "XXX: Return of Xander Cage" alongside Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose.
"Deepika has a lot of film scripts at the moment that she needs to read. She hasn't signed any Bollywood film yet as she knew that her Hollywood project would require a lot of her time. Also, she didn't want any overlapping, and wasn't in a hurry to sign her next Bollywood movie. So, she is taking her time, and is reading different kinds of scripts," a source told Hindustan Times.
SRK, on the other hand, has only partially confirmed Aanand L Rai's film and has "Fan" and "Raees" lined up for release on April 15 and Eid, respectively. Also, he has completed a schedule of Gauri Shinde's untitled film with Alia Bhatt.
