Karan Johar has been keen on working with Salman Khan, but strangely they are yet to make a film. The director has often expressed his fondness for the superstar and that he wants him in his films.
Interestingly, they were to get together for Shuddhi, but the project was put in the back burner for reasons best known to the parties involved. However, Johar is now looking forward to making bigger films and wants Khan on board for one of them, SpotboyE reported.
The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director will take off on a two-week-long vacation sometime in December to centre his thoughts and be back with a story. After roping in Shah Rukh Khan for a cameo in ADHM, it was being thought that Johar would cast him and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his next project, but it appears he has different plans.
Talking to the Deccan Chronicle, Johar said that SRK and Bachchan coming together for a film is just another baseless rumour. "No, these are all rumours and conjectures. I don't even know the script of my next film. How can I have a cast? I have no clue what I am making next. I am taking off in December for two weeks to go somewhere and centre my thoughts. I will come back with new, renewed vigour in the new year," the daily quoted him as saying.
In other news, Koffee With Karan is keeping Johar quite busy these days and it is only after he has had a good chat with his industry favourites on the show, will he take a break. So far, Shah Rukh Khan-Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra-Aditya Roy Kapur, Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna, Ranveer Singh-Ranbir Kapoor, Farah Khan-Sania Mirza and Varun Dhawan-Arjun Kapoor have been on the chat show.
