A new trend has hit Bollywood these days, which sees actors and directors making cameo appearances in films.
Here are a few of Bollywood's ace directors who did cameos in movies.
Rohit Shetty
"Singham" director Rohit Shetty was seen in a cameo role in Shreyas Talpade's film "Poshter Boyz". It has also been said that Shetty will make an appearance on filmmaker R. Balki's film "Shamitabh."
"We wanted a prominent director for the role and who better than Rohit Shetty. I am a big fan of all his movies," India Today quoted Balki as saying.
Farah Khan
Farah Khan has made several cameos in films, including "Om Shanti Om" and "Student of the Year." She was seens as one of the judges in the song 'Disco Deewane.'
Karan Johar
Karan Johar might be a known face now, but the director appeared in cameo roles even during the initial stages of his career. He was seen in "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Main Hoon Na," "Hasee Toh Phasee", "Fashion" and other films.
Subhash Ghai
Subash Ghai has done most number of cameos in his own films. Ghai has done brief guest appearances in his directorial ventures several times.
Ayan Mukerji
Young director Ayan Mukerji appeared in films like "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", "Luck By Chance", "Home Delivey" and "Besharam".
Arbaaz Khan
Arbaaz Khan directed the sequel of Salman Khan's hit film "Dabangg". In "Dabangg 2", Arbaaz continued to portray the character of Makhanchand Pandey as well directed the film.
Madhur Bhandarkar
In Madhur Bhandarkar's film "Fashion", he did a cameo as himself. Priyanka Chopra-Kangana Ranaut starrer flick was a blockbuster hit.
Prakash Jha
Prakash Jha made a cameo appearance in Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Satyagraha."
