After "Comedy Nights with Kapil" has gone off air, speculations are doing the rounds over Kapil Sharma's new upcoming show. Now, latest buzz suggests that Kapil and his team will be seen with a brand new show on Sony Entertainment Television. The show will start from the end of March or first week of April, reports Spotboye.
It has also been reported that almost the entire cast of "Comedy Nights with Kapil" will join Kapil in the new show on Sony, except Upasana Singh. Cast of the new show will include Kapil, Sunil Grover (Gutthi), Kiku Sharda (Palak), Ali Asgar (Dadi) and Sumona Chakravarti (Kapil's on-screen wife), the report added. Navjot Singh Sidhu, too, will be a part of the new show.
The report said that Kapil and his team had a discussion with Sony CEO NP Singh recently and quoted a source as saying: "The show is likely to kick off by the end of March or first week of April."
Ever since Krushna Abhishek's "Comedy Nights Live" has replaced Kapil's erstwhile show on Colors, the latter's fans have been eagerly waiting for the stand-up comedian to make a comeback. Recently, there was a rumour that Kapil's new show has been titled as "Comedy Style," as mentioned by a Facebook page by the name of Sunil Grover. However, Sunil later took to Twitter and asked fans to ignore the post as it was a fake Facebook account.
Kapil and Krushna's rivalry came out in open when the latter in an interview said that Kapil felt insecure about the popularity of "Comedy Nights Bachao" and thus fled away from the battle field. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, Kapil is all set to give a tough competition to both the shows of Krushna -- "Comedy Nights Live" and "Comedy Nights Bachao" -- as Kapil's new show on Sony will be aired on weekends and on the same time that of Krushna's shows.
