With the constant drop in the Television Rating Points (TRPs) every week, the once top-rated comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show, has been experimenting with new ways to entertain viewers.

In the latest episode, Kapil tried to take a jibe on his infamous fight with Sunil Grover that took place on board a flight. In Saturday's episode, the cast of the show performed a skit in a dummy aeroplane, wherein Kapil played a co-passenger. An argument among a few passengers prompts the air-hostess (played by Kiku Sharda) to request Kapil to intervene in the matter. To which, the ace comedian quipped that he doesn't speak on a flight these days.
For the unaware, in March, Kapil, in an inebriated state, hurled abuses and physically assaulted co-star Sunil on a flight from Australia. Despite Kapil's multiple apologies to Sunil, the latter decided to quit the show. Later, many other key members of the show also took an exit from the show.
Meanwhile, ever since Sunil and the key members of The Kapil Sharma Show – Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar – quit the show, the show is strugging to maintain its top position. And as per the recent TRP chart report, Kapil's show has taken a nose dive and is no longer in the top 10 highest rating shows.
Sony TV, in which the comedy show airs, had given Kapil a month's time to revive the show and its TRPs. There were also reports that the new season of Salman Khan's Dus Ka Dum would be replacing The Kapil Sharma Show. But it seems Kapil's show got two months extension, and all because of Salman, who is busy with his films and is unavailable to shoot for the reality show.
