Kapil Sharma is struggling to get back lost Television Rating Points (TRPs). Ever since the key members of The Kapil Sharma Show – Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Chandan Prabhakar – quit the show, many fresh faces have joined the cast of the comedy series to fill in the void.
Adult film actress in The Kapil Sharma Show; is Kapil so desperate for TRPs?
After adult movie actress Monica Castelino was roped in to spice up the comedy show, now there is one more new entry. Supriya Shukla, who plays the lead character Pragya's mother in hugely popular show Kumkum Bhagya, is set to join the cast of The Kapil Sharma Show.
Supriya will essay the role of a woman from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, who moved to the busy Mumbai city. Talking about joining the comedy show, Supriya told the Times of India: "I was a bit nervous since this happens to be my first stint with comedy. However, Kapil and his team were really supportive. I will be bringing in the Kanpur flavour, and have worked hard along with the writers of the show on the lingo as well."
With the talented lady from Abhi-Pragya's series being roped in The Kapil Sharma Show, we wonder if Kapil is trying to cash in on the popularity of Kumkum Bhagya, which has been among the top three most-watched television shows since the past three years.
In other news, Sunil, who has been keeping himself busy with live shows ever since he quit the Kapil Sharma's show, has landed in a legal trouble ahead of his performance in Ahmedabad on May 27. Rajpal Shah, an event organiser, has filed a complaint of cheating and criminal conspiracy against Sunil and event organiser Devang Shah, over a show.
