Fans of Kapil Sharma are eagerly waiting for his new show "The Kapil Sharma Show" to go on air April 23 on Sony Entertainment Television. Building curiosity around the new show, the makers have released a new promo featuring Kapil and Ali Asgar.
In the video, both Kapil and Ali are seen engaging in a funny debate regarding what the latter should wear, considering Ali had always sported a woman's look on "Comedy Nights with Kapil." Besides Kapil and Ali, "The Kapil Sharma Show" will comprise Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Last month, the team released the first promo of the show where all of the characters were seen dressed in black suits.
None of the popular characters from "Comedy Nights With Kapil," including Dadi (Ali), Gutthi (Sunil) and Palak (Kiku), will reprise their roles as TV channel Colors owns the rights to the original show and its characters. All the talented actors will be seen playing different characters and will entertain the audience once again on the new show.
Recently, Sunil's look from the new show was leaked online. In the image, Sunil, who played the role of Gutthi earlier, was seen in a grey wig. Going by the picture, it appeared like the actor would be playing the role of an old man. "The Kapil Sharma Show" will have Shah Rukh Khan as the first celebrity guest, who will appear to promote his film "Fan."
Meanwhile, according to a Bollywood Life report, Rochelle Rao of "Bigg Boss 9" fame will also be a part of the show. "Yes, I am doing the show. It is a not a permanent character but I will be in the supporting cast. It is a fun part," Rochelle told the entertainment portal.
Talking about working with Kapil and his team, the gorgeous lady said that the team is "like a family." "They are a fabulous bunch. Everyone made me feel very welcome. The team is like a family and I am enjoying myself to the hilt," she said.
