The Kapil Sharma Show actress Upasana Singh to get divorced

Upasana Singh, who rose to immense popularity as Bua on Comedy Nights With Kapil and as Twinkle in The Kapil Sharma Show, has made millions of her fans laugh , but all is not well in the entertainer's personal life.

Upasana, who married actor Neeraj Bharadwaj in 2009 and has been living separately for the past four years, is planning to legally part ways from her husband. Despite several attempts to make the marriage work, the couple failed to resolve their differences. "They were on talking terms even while staying separately, but there has been no communication since nine months. Though they tried to make the marriage work, the differences were irrevocable. Their relationship has been marred by compatibility issues and different expectations from each other. Upasana didn't even invite Neeraj to her birthday party recently," a source told the Times of India.

Confirming the news, Neeraj, who is better known as Chiraj Modi of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, said: "We weren't on the same page and I couldn't meet her expectations. We decided to part ways amicably. Upasana doesn't need me and I shouldn't hold her back."

The estranged couple is planning to file for divorce after the festive occasion of Diwali. However, Upasana chose not to comment on her personal life. She said: "It's a personal matter and I don't appreciate media intruding in that space. I wouldn't want anything on my personal life making its way into the public domain."

A few months ago, Upasana made headlines when she joined Kapil's rival Krushna Abhishek's Comedy Nights Live even as Kapil and the entire team of Comedy Nights With Kapil decided to move on to Sony Entertainment Television with the new series, The Kapil Sharma Show. She later quit the Comedy Nights Live owing to creative dissatisfaction with the makers and returned to The Kapil Sharma Show.

Soon after quitting the show, she made some shocking revelations about her experience with the team of Comedy Nights Live. She said that she felt uncomfortable amid the team and claimed that Comedy Nights Live used her presence in their team as she was a prominent member in Kapil's team.
