Salman Khan commands a huge fan base and yet Kapil Sharma beat him twice in a row to become the most-loved television personality of February. The superstar has been away from TV ever since "Bigg Boss 9" came to a close earlier this year, so the defeat stands justified.
Anoop Soni, Prince Narula and Gutthi fill up the top five slots. The Characters India Loves (CIL) report aids advertisers in picking characters they could use for their endorsement deals. The survey, conducted by Ormax Media, had 3,500 participants.
Kapil's show went off-air in January, which makes it difficult to fathom why he would emerge as the most favourite TV personality for February, given that he wasn't around on the small screen. However, him stepping down as the front runner of "Comedy Nights With Kapil," which was remodelled into "Comedy Nights Live" with Krushna Abhishek as its host, may have made the viewers miss him tons.
Meanwhile, the funnyman, who is prepping for his upcoming show "The Kapil Sharma Show," is hardly rattled about competing with his peer, Krushna. He's positive about the new show but is majorly upset with "CNWK" videos taken off YouTube.
"I have received so much love from people. Why will I feel insecure? I am happy. I don't know what will happen in the next five years. I don't know what will happen in the next five minutes. I don't think so much," he told the Indian Express.
Kapil's new show goes on air on April 23, 9 p.m. at Sony Entertainment Television.
