Kapil Sharma has once again emerged as the most loved Television character (non fiction), beating Rannvijay Singha and Salman Khan among others, according to a survey done by Ormax Media. Kapil has topped the list of "Ormax characters India loves" (Ormax CIL) for the month of March 2016.
"Ormax characters India loves" is a monthly survey that assesses the popularity of top Hindi Television characters. The survey is based on public opinion, taking a sample size of 3,500 across 14 cities in India. Kapil, who had rose to fame with the erstwhile show "Comedy Nights With Kapil," has come up as the most popular and loved TV character for the month of March 2016, followed by Rannvijay.
Rannvijay is known for reality show "Roadies" and is one of the mentors in the ongoing season "Roadies X4." Salman has claimed the third slot in the list for hosting the show "Bigg Boss," the last season being "Bigg Boss 9." Arjun Kapoor came fourth for another reality show "Khatron Ke Khiladi" and Anoop Soni bagged the fifth position for "Crime Patrol."
Kapil will soon be seen in a new show titled "The Kapil Sharma Show" that will bring back the "Comedy Nights with Kapil" team comprising Ali Asgar, Sumona Chakravarti, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar on the small screen. The show will be aired on Sony Television April 23 onwards.
Kapil was the most loved TV character in the Ormax Media survey in January as well, followed by Salman. However, the "Bigg Boss" host has now come down to the third position as he has been replaced by Rannvijay for his ongoing show "Roadies X4." Kapil has been off the small screen since for a while now, and fans are eagerly waiting to see their favourite comedian on the brand new show.
