Kapil Sharma is all set to include a new character in "The Kapil Sharma Show" (TKSS). The comedian himself will be seen playing the new role of Chappu.
Co-producer Neeti Simoes shared Kapil's new look in the show. Kapil is seen sporting a rose-printed hair clip and it appears that he would portray a small girl's character.
Neeti shared the photo with the caption saying, "Can't Wait for u guys meet Chappu! #super Cute #chappu Coming soon on #TKSS [sic]." A few days back, Kapil had introduced another character, Gappu, in the show. Gappu, who is shown as the brother of Kapil's character, is also played by Kapil himself. Kapil usually plays the role of Kappu.
Now, it seems Chappu will be presented as Kappu's sister. "The Kapil Sharma Show" already has a big cast including Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar, Rochelle Rao and the recently-added Upasana Singh.
While Sunil and Kiku portray multiple characters on the show, now Kapil will also appear in three different roles — Kappu, Gappu and Chappu.
The show was also in news recently after reports said that Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has been an integral part of "The Kapil Sharma Show," was reportedly being pressurised to quit the series after he joined the Aam Aadmi Party. However, co-producer Preeti Simoes later denied the rumours of Sidhu's exit on Twitter.
Kapil's show has become quite popular as Bollywood celebrities have been appearing on it regularly to promote their films. The show is telecast on Sony TV every weekend.
