Kannada movie "Karodpathi" which was set to release on Friday, 14 March faced some technical issues and cancelled its first day's first show in its main theatre (Movie Land).
The morning show was supposed to begin at 10.30 am, but the audience was asked to wait for half an hour due to some technical issues. However, it took longer to fix the problem. Therefore, the theatre cancelled the first day first show and started screening the film from the matinee show, according to Chitraloka.com.
There was huge crowd gathered to watch the movie which stars Komal kumar in the lead role. They were disappointed due to the cancellation of the film but the theatre told them that they could use the same ticket and watch the afternoon show instead, according to a report by Chitraloka.com.
"Karodpathy" which is directed by C Ramesh revolves around the life of a poor man whose life changes with money. The film is produced by SN Suresh. The music director for the film is Adhiyaman.
Actor Komal, who is known for his comic timing in movies, has acted in more than 50 films in the Kannada film industry. He started his acting career in 2000 with the movie "Khiladi." Since then, he has been appreciated for his humorous roles played in various movies.
In the movie, Komal is a poor man who always dreams to become a millionaire. Interestingly, he actually becomes a very rich man, a changed man. The rest of the plot reflects on his life after he get all the riches.
The lead actress in this film is Meera Nandan, a South Indian heroine who hails from Kerala. In the past, Meera has predominantly worked in the Malayalam film industry and a few Tamil movies. "Karodpathy" is her debut movie in Kannada. Apart from this, she is also working in another Kannada movie which is titled as "Naanu Nam Hudgi."
