The curtains for the first season of Kannada Kogile will be dropped this weekend. The grand finale of the singing show will be aired on Saturday and Sunday (December 14 and 15) with eight budding singers aiming to win the title on Colors Super.
The show was kick-started with 42 budding singers in June. The channel had picked the talent from Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Mysuru, Belagavi and many others places in the state by conducting auditions.
Of the 42, only 23 made it to the first round of Kannada Kogile. In the end, eight contestants that include Shwetha Devanahalli, Akhila Pajimannu, Animish Hegde, Karibasava, Ganesh and Apeksha Pai have entered the last stage.
TV actress and Bigg Boss Kannada 5 contestant, Anupama Gowda-hosted show has multifaceted Sadhu Kokila, rapper Chandan Shetty and Archana Udupa as its judges. Well-known music director Gurukiran will be one of the judges in the grand finale.
The grand finale was shot on December 7, but it is being telecast this weekend. The channel has maintained secrecy over the winner.
The first part of the grand finale will be aired from 5 pm.
