Kangana Ranaut had been accused quite often of interfering a lot in her director's work making them feeling short of breath. After Rangoon and Simran, her period drama Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is also going through the same phase. Her meddlesome and self-willed attitude is now making filmmakers quite unsure about signing her for their film.
We saw how Sonu Sood walked out of Manikarnika as soon as Kangana took over the director's seat. She apparently wanted to chop down Sonu's role in the film and reportedly humiliated director Krish Jagarlamudi and muscled him out of the project.
Her growing interference has now led filmmaker Ashwini Iyer Tiwari to draw a watertight no-interference contract for the Queen actress to ensure that she would not step into the director's domain. Kangana will be playing a lead role in Tiwari's upcoming directorial Panga. Tiwari is known for her strong female lead films like Nil Batte Sannata and Bareilly Ki Barfi.
"Ashwini has had many meetings with Kangana and they've gotten along really well. Ashwini is sure she will make a fabulous film with Kangana. But the repeated allegation of interference in the director's work, first with Vishal Bhardwaj on Rangoon, then Hansal Mehta in Simran and now Krissh with Manikarnika, has put Ashwini on her guard," a source was quoted as saying by Bollywood Hungama.
Meanwhile, Sonu Sood's sudden exit from Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi has put the project in dire straits. The movie's budget, which was initially approved for Rs 60 crore, has now shot up to Rs 125 crore approx due to re-shoots and a series of production delays.
The movie which was initially scheduled to complete the patchwork in 10 days has now been extended to a 45-day schedule in which the major portions of the film will be re-shot with new actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub as Sonu Sood's replacement.
According to reports, Manikarnika is likely to miss its release date of January 25 next year; the same day when Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 will be releasing in theatres.
