Things are not going well between Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone. Both the divas are at the top in the film industry at present.
Deepika's "Piku" and Kangana's "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" proved to be a big hit at the box office. It was Kangana's second big hit after "Queen".
Several rumours about the problems between the two actresses has been doing the rounds for some time now. Apparently, Kangana and Deepika were seen giving each other the cold shoulder in several events. Although, they pose hand-in-hand for the papparazi.
It started when Deepika gave away her award to Kangana for her brilliant performance in "Queen". Kangana, who never attends any award function, did not like this gesture. Later, she said that the "Happy New Year" actress called her to clear things out.
"Deepika called me, and clarified that she had no personal equation with me to make a direct call (to appreciate her performance in Queen). Also, I explained to her how it would have been unjust for me to publicly acknowledge an award from her when I have decided not to attend any awards functions. It was an emotional and heartfelt conversation. I appreciate that she called me; she is truly courteous and very emotional, and I just love that," Kangana told Hindustan Times.
Recently, Kangana was again asked about her equation with Deepika at the trailer launch of "Katti Batti". She said, "It is 'Katti Batti' between us." It seems both the actresses are still not in good terms.
Nikhil Advani's "Katti Batti" has Kangana and Imran Khan in lead roles. The romantic comedy is slated to be released on 18 September.
