Now that the industry sources are speaking up, Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone's alleged cold war has clearly gotten nasty.
Talking about her inability to handle success, a source once close to the "Katti Batti" actress told Deccan Chronicle how other A-list actresses have never sounded so arrogant.
"I can't recall a single incident or an interaction where Kangana has not taken on people or bragged about her stardom. Neither Priyanka Chopra nor Deepika Padukone have ever sounded so arrogant. Yes, Kangana's films have done well but there are serious doubts about her ability to handle success," the insider further elaborated.
A former co-star of the actress revealed how she has never been '4 am' buddies with anyone from the industry and except for the stars in "Rangoon", top actors have mostly stayed away from working with her as working with someone with a "high-handed" attitude is difficult.
In other news, in one of her recent interviews with Rajeev Masand, Kangana said how she and Deepika never exchanged a hug while pulling a face when asked if there were chances of them calling it a truce.
It all began when Kangana responded negatively to Deepika's warm gesture of dedicating an award to the "Queen" actress. The former reportedly said if her peer meant any of what she said at the event, she must call her up.
The 'call' was made, but Kangana decided to make their conversation public which irked DP. Later, the "Bajirao Mastani" actress gave "Tanu Weds Manu Returns" screening a miss owing to prior work commitments, but obviously this didn't go down too well with Kangana.
In a nutshell, their frosty equation is for the long haul.
