Kangana Ranaut, who is riding high on the success of her last film "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", will not be seen opposite Salman Khan in Yash Raj Films' "Sultan".
Kangana told a leading daily that she has turned down the offer to work in Salman starrer "Sultan" due to Vishal Bhardwaj's "Rangoon". Apparently, the dates of "Sultan" were clashing with "Rangoon" and since she already committed to the "Haider" director, she rejected the movie offer opposite Salman.
"Yes, Sultan's dates are clashing with Rangoon and I am already committed to Rangoon," Kangana said, according to DNA.
Earlier, an insider told the daily that Aditya Chopra had personally spoken to Kangana for the role opposite Salman.
"Aditya Chopra had personally spoken to Kangana about the role. Unlike other Salman films, the role of the heroine in Sultan is a lot meatier. Adi felt she would fit the bill perfectly and the character is rather heroic," the insider said.
However, now the producer will have to look for another actress to cast opposite the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor.
Meanwhile, Kangana currently has three films in her hands, "Katti Batti" with Imran Khan, Hansal Mehta's next directorial film and Bhardwaj's "Rangoon".
